SLP Singapore 19th AGM was held on Wednesday, 30 June 2010 at the
Singapore Polytechnic Graduates’ Guild. The
meeting was declared open by Acting President, Mr.
Tay Cheng Pheng who was acting for Mr.
See Hee Ong because the latter was on a business trip. Hon.
Secretary, Mr. Ngiam Tong Yuen, explained that
Mr. Ong holds a
global position within his company and his extensive business travel
would keep him away from Singapore. For this reason, Mr.
Ong stepped down from the
position of President.
The Executive Committee thank Mr. Ong for his leadership for SLP
Singapore.
Highlights
Election for a new Executive Committee
was scheduled. Since the number of nominations equaled the number
of positions, there was no voting. The following are
the incoming Executive Committee members for
2010/2012.

Our new President Mr. Tay has been in the
executive committee for
many years and he has
wide knowledge of loss prevention in the process industries.
The new executive committee look forward to Mr. Tay's
leadership to bring SLP Singapore to greater heights.
As always, we needed strong support from members to
accomplish the vision of SLP. We were continuing with our plans to
collaborate with IES, SISO and allied bodies. Some of
our executive committee members represent SLP in SPRING, MOM and other advisory committees.
