SLP had four categories

Ordinary Members |

Open to any person
not less than 21 years of age:Who has graduated from recognised
universities and polytechnics in the field of engineering, applied
sciences and industrial/occupational hygiene, and have a minimumthree
(3) years of industrial or relevant experience in the area of
loss prevention, |

or |
| |
Who has been practising
loss prevention in senior position for a period of not less
than ten (10) years |

Open to any person
who is interested in the area of loss prevention and related
areas. |

| Graduate and Student Members |
|
| |
Open to any person
Who has graduated from recognised universities and polytechnics
or equivalentin the field of engineering, applied sciences and
industrial/occupational hygiene. A student Member shall be person
who is undergraduated or student of recognised universities
and polytechnics or equivalentin the field of engineering, applied
sciences and industrial/occupational hygiene. |

Open to any companies
whose activities and business are related to the oil, chemical
and process industries or a company who is interested in the
promotion of loss prevention. Each Corporate Members shall be
entitled to nominate two (2) accredited representatives accepted
by the Executive Committee to represent the Corporate Member
at all meetings of the Society. |
